Dead battery, locked out, a flat, out of gas or stuck in the ditch: one call, 24/7.

Most roadside calls don’t need a tow. A boost, a spare, some fuel or a pull out of a snowbank and you’re driving again. When it does need a tow, the same call covers that too, to the shop or driveway you name. Here’s what our 24-hour roadside assistance covers and what happens when you call.

Battery boost
Lights left on, a weak battery at minus thirty, a truck that sat all weekend. We boost it on the spot and tell you if the battery is done.
If the car starts and dies again, the battery may not be the problem. A failing alternator does the same thing, and a boost won’t fix it. Then one call covers the tow to your mechanic.
Hybrids and electric vehicles too. They have a small 12-volt battery that runs the electronics, and when it goes flat the car won’t start. We boost that battery the same way. Tell dispatch what you drive.

Car lockout
Keys on the seat, fob in the trunk, a door frozen shut. We unlock cars, SUVs and pickups without damage.
We open the vehicle; we don’t cut keys or repair locks. If the key is lost or broken, we can tow the vehicle to your dealer.
You’ll need to show ID and registration or insurance, even through the window. More on our car unlock service.
Flat tire change
A flat on the Whitemud at rush hour or in a Mill Woods driveway. If you have a usable spare, we put it on. If you don’t, or two tires are down, we tow you to the tire shop.
Before you call, find your spare and the wheel-lock key if your car has locking wheel nuts. The key is usually in the glovebox or under the trunk floor, and without it nobody can get the wheel off.

Fuel delivery
Ran dry on the QEII or the Henday? Stay in the vehicle with your hazards on and call. We bring up to 10 litres of gas or diesel, enough to get you to the nearest station. You pay for the fuel plus the delivery. No tow needed.
Full details on our emergency fuel delivery page.
Winch-outs
Snowbank, ditch, soft shoulder or a driveway that turned to ice. We winch cars and pickups out without adding damage, then check that it’s safe to drive. If it isn’t, we tow it.
On high-speed roads we set up traffic control before anyone steps out of the cab.
Semis, loaded trailers and rollovers: see recovery services.
What happens when you call
- A dispatcher answers, 24/7. Not a voicemail, not a menu.
- Tell them where you are, what you’re driving and what’s wrong. On a highway, give your direction of travel and the nearest exit or kilometre marker.
- You get a realistic ETA. We know where our closest truck is and what traffic and weather are doing. If the ETA changes, dispatch calls you.
- The driver fixes it on the spot, or tows it where you say. That can be your mechanic, your dealer, a tire shop or your driveway.
On a highway, stay in the vehicle with your hazards on. If anyone is hurt, call 911 first.
What it costs
It depends on the job, where you are and, for a winch-out, how stuck the vehicle is. Tell the dispatcher what’s going on and you get a price before the truck rolls. More on what moves the price: affordable towing in Edmonton.

Roadside assistance FAQ
Will a boost fix my car? If the battery is just drained, usually yes. If it won’t hold a charge, or the alternator is failing, the car will die again. The driver tells you which it looks like, and we can tow it to your mechanic.
Can you unlock any car? We unlock cars, SUVs and pickups. Tell dispatch the make, model and year so the driver brings the right tools.
Do I need to prove the vehicle is mine? Yes. You’ll need to show ID and registration or insurance, even through the window.
How much fuel do you bring? Up to 10 litres of gas or diesel, enough to reach the nearest station. You pay for the fuel plus the delivery.
Can you boost a hybrid or an electric car? Yes. Hybrids and EVs have a 12-volt battery that can go flat like any other, and we boost it the same way.
Are you an AMA contractor? Can AMA members call you? Yes, Tuber is an authorized CAA/AMA contractor. AMA members request service through AMA’s call centre or the AMA app, and AMA dispatches the call. Anyone can also call us directly at 587-598-8237 as a regular customer.
Do you change tires on the highway? Yes. On high-speed roads we set up traffic control first, so the driver isn’t working beside live traffic.
Can you pull me out of a ditch without damage? That’s the goal on every winch-out. We pull slowly, from proper anchor points. If it isn’t safe to drive afterwards, we tow it.
